Jeffrey D. Feldman to speak at the 2008 Advanced Patent Law Institute USPTO Conference

The intellectual property law firm of Feldman Gale, P.A., is pleased to announce that Jeffrey D. Feldman, the firm's managing partner and co-founder, will serve as a Conference Faculty Speaker at the 2008 Advanced Patent Law Institute USPTO Conference, to be held January 10-11, 2008 at the USPTO Main Auditorium, Alexandria, Virginia. The conference is sponsored by the George Mason University School of Law and The University of Texas School of Law in cooperation with the USPTO.

Mr. Feldman will present: "Defending Against Willful Patent Infringement Claims: Competent Opinion of Counsel and the Risk of Privilege Waiver". His discussion will provide insight into "the importance of competent opinion of counsel in defending against an allegation of willful infringement of a patent, the strength of a defendant's ability to rely on such opinions," and the risk of privilege waiver in so doing.

The Advanced Patent Law Institute USPTO Conference is "a unique series of presentations by senior USPTO officials, leading academics, practitioners, and members of the judiciary." The conference "provides the insider's perspective on USPTO initiatives, practice rules, developments, and much more."
